Jul 13, 2016 With the launch of Reverb SYNC, our portal for audio software and plugins, we thought it would be useful to demonstrate the basic step-by-step process of getting plugins to work with three of the most popular DAWs around: Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and Pro Tools.
VIP itself will open as a VST plugin to be used in Ableton and other DAWs. This will pop up the same way as all of your other VST instruments in Ableton. Essentially, this allows you to have the same control of all of your instruments while using them in your DAW. On Mac computers, they can be loaded either as VST or AU plug-ins. Once the products are installed, Ableton Live must scan your plug-in directories in order to make them available in the Third Party Plug-Ins section of the Browser. On the windows version of live, the plugins stayed on screen. Can i get my mac to do the same? Edit: it would also be useful for plugin windows to stay open so that i can drop wav files into a plugin from finder or audiofinder. But of course as soon as you start dragging the file, live loses focus and the plugin window disappears.
